The big Malaysian developers are coming to Nusajaya / Iskandar Malaysia. A good sign of confidence by corporations who know the local Malaysian market. Here an overview:

Sunway - the developer of the well known Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur is land banking in Iskandar Malaysia. One of the main projects will be ‘Sunway Iskandar’ located in Medini. All property developments in Medini are to our knowledge leasehold for 99 years (after expiry of which the developer has the option to purchase a further 30 years at a price of 10% of the original land price). The Sunway integrated development project will be launched early 2013. We have heard (unconfirmed) that it will feauture a real lagoon element since part of the land is located in a swamp area.
Eastern & Oriental - this distinguished Malaysian developer will build the MEDINI INTEGRATED WELLNESS CAPITAL (Medini Estate and Medini Sanctuary). In their own words:
UM Land - is building the Somerset Serviced Residences at Puteri Harbour.
Bina Puri Holdings Berhad - are constructing the Medini Square mixed residential / commercial high rise development.
Distinctive Group - retail shops, corporate offices, hotel, services apartments, showrooms under the brand of 18 @ Medini.
BRDB (Bandar Raya Developments Berhad) - this excellent developer with existing projects in Johor will develop the residential north of Puteri Harbour with waterfront and hillside homes - and for boat fans: we have heard that some houses will have their own jetty.
IJM - is building the medium range develoment of Nusa Duta.
Sunrise - now part of the UEM Land family, is building the luxurious Imperia Condo at Puteri Harbour.
EnCorp - is constructing next to Sunrise’s Imperia Condo the EnCorp Marina Puteri Harbour Condominium.
Gamuda Land - one of the early birds and behind the residential golf course development HORIZON HILLS.
Tiong Nam - is building the Pinetrees Residences at Puteri Harbour, a two tower project, one tower will be a 5* hotel, the other will be comprising of low density 264 serviced apartments. See Danny Chua’s blog for more details by clicking here.
UEM Land - this is the master developer of Nusajaya and behind East Ledang, Ledang Heights, Ujana and Impiana condominiums as well as Nusa Idaman, and soon master of Gerbang Nusajaya - the phase 2 of Nusajaya (the first deal was recently confirmed - a JV with Ascendas from Singapore to develop a S$1.5billion tech park).
